Object: Resource

What is this object and why do I care about it?

The Resource object is a 1-to-1 mapping with an object that exists in a third-party system. For example, EC2 instances, RDS databases, etc. are all represented as Resources in PPE.

If the third party system uses an URN or URN-like format to identify its resources (such as an AWS ARN), we use the third-party identifier as the primary key to identify a Resource in PPE.

When we create Observances or Violations, they are associated directly to a Resource.

Lifecycle

This resource can only be created/updated/deleted by Pyrae, Inc.

OrgFormation

This resource cannot be created by OrgFormation.
